Our Story
Johnson Industries is a small family-owned company based in upstate South Carolina. Our foundation is rooted in a strong sense of duty, a commitment to the mission, and an unrivaled dedication to our team. While serving as a Green Beret during his first tour in Afghanistan in 2002, Ross Johnson recognized an urgent need for better quality medical equipment on the battlefield. From that experience, he designed a tourniquet to help control severe bleeding for fellow soldiers and civilians. That invention became the catalyst for founding Tactical Medical Solutions. Over the next 20 years, Ross and his team built the company into an internationally recognized market leader known for innovative and effective products, a culture of people-first leadership, and a truly mission driven focus. The company’s success created opportunities to acquire other businesses and expand into a comprehensive range of products and services. As the business matured, our daily involvement became less essential, allowing us to step back and focus on family and the growth of Johnson Industries. Today, we manage domestic and international real estate assets and invest in strong companies with strong teams.
